I recently just found a cool software to change your menu into a modern and brand new one. You can apply this software to your Ubuntu or other distros that using gnome enviroment. The software name is GnoMenu, GnoMenu is a consolidated menu for Gnome and based on the gnome Vista menu by qb89dragon. GnoMenu is customizeable and let it’s users to configure and customize it freely. GnoMenu bring gnome menu’s into a new level of graphical menu’s and it is really easy to use.

Here are some screenshots of GnoMenu(Click the Picture to make it larger):

Haha. This is absolutely horrible – looks like they decided to bring the poorly designed Windows Vista start menu to replace Gnome’s well-designed menu bar.

This won’t go too far.

We’ve all seen these attempts to make our linux-based desktops emulate some other desktop OS. While I could understand trying to make your desktop look like Apple’s visually stunning OSX, I’m mystified why anyone would want to make theirs look like Windows–especially Gnome users. I know people want something new and I’ll readily admit that Vista’s appearance is a big improvement for that OS, but why make a mockery of Gnome’s interface guidelines by making your menu like Window’s? It seems like you’re stabbing yourself in the eyes because you think it makes you look better.
