Comments on: Install and run MS Windows Live Messenger in Linux!

I have a problem. Everything went well with the
installation, but when I try to sign in it says
Windows Live Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close…

Do you have any idea?

Also, when I wanted to install the vcrun2005 sp1… I couldn’t because it told me that I nedded to install another library and it was 3.3 GBs!!!

P.S. I’m sorry for my bad english hehe… I’m learning and I try my best…

when i right click on “right-click here” i cant find “save destiny as”. there’s only “save link as”. Is there another way cause i cant run it. (by , the way im completely new with linux, imma newbie)

I’ve managed to install everything and I think it all went fine. I even opened up the window, but i had version 2008. I installed 2009 without a hitch, but now the window won’t open at all. Not sure what the problem could be.

it’s a great tutorial and this is something I have been searching for a long time. However, after winetricks, I tried installing the .msi package and I seem to get stuck at this message,

err:msi:copy_package_to_temp failed to copy package L”Install_{508CE775-4BA4-4748-82DF-FE28DA9F03B0}.msi”

Hey, I managed to install the 2008, but then I needed to upgrade to 2009 since no one is allowed to use 2008 anymore. It didn’t work. So installed the 2009 but it didn’t work either. I get:
