Another Linux distro has been released, this time emphasising speed and low space. I reckon it’ll be perfect for netbooks. Lots of improvements needed, but the potential is there. See Slitaz Linux.

After a long hiatus, Google has finally spoken up and released a (beta) version of Chrome for Linux. As ever with the techies, it’s accompanied by xkcd-style comic. Visit this link.

Hello guys, firstly I’m so sorry because the lack of update for a couple of weeks, and now I’m back. I also proud to announce that I already applied a new layout for AllForLinux.com. Well, what do you think about it?

Microsoft claimed SUDO

sandwichWell2.. Another crazy news for the readers. I just got an information that Microsoft just patented SUDO(Super User Do) with patent number 7,617,530. And the worst part is, Microsoft first reference is claimed that SUDO’s origin is in the year 1997. But the fact is, Sudo was founded on around year 1980′s by Bob Coggeshall and Cliff Spencer and was developed at the State University of New York in Buffalo.

Hey! this is great news! As many of us may know, id software (the company behind many great games, like quake, unreal tournament, etc.) has support for linux in most of it’s games (that’s not the case of wolfenstein since id software hasn’t even been touching the game). The point is that some time ago, there where rumors that said that id software was abandoning linux due to the involved work, cost, and lackluster Linux graphics drivers (according to John Carmack), it looks like we will end up seeing this next-generation game engine running with Linux.

KDE 4.3 Caizen

KDE 4.3 with codename: Caizen already released to use for public. This new version of KDE bringing many improvements and innovations to the user experience and development platform. The KDE community has fixed over 10,000 bugs and implemented almost 2,000 feature requests in the last 6 months. Close to 63,000 changes were checked in by a little under 700 contributors.
