Say NO! To Ubuntu satanic edition

This is only a quick update, I know I have missed a lot of news, so I’m sorry if its already out of date. I just found one of ubuntu distro variant named Ubuntu satanic edition. And I know it was made by a lot of dammed people. I just want to say, DON’T be fooled by the beauty of its interface. I’m quite happy to hear that Canonical also against Ubuntu satanic edition. They already shut down Ubuntu satanic edition store and banned them from the distrowatch. And its a good decision to do.

Ubuntu 9.10 Codename released!

Yes! Mark Shuttleworth has finally released the new 9.10 codename, it’s Karmic Koala! Mark Shuttleworth also wrote a couple of features that will be added in Karmic Koala like using plymouth, just like in Fedora. And I’m quite interested when saw that Mark is planned to change the whole desktop look(boot screen, splash screen, themes, and others) inside Ubuntu 9.10. I’m not really expecting that Jaunty Jackalope dekstop look will totally change :)

If you are a Mac OS X user, you might be know Growl. Growl is a famous software for mac, Growl lets Mac OS X applications unintrusively tell you when things happen. And recently, Mark Shuttleworth has announced a “clone” of Growl that predicted will be bundled with Ubuntu 9.04(Jaunty Jackalope).
