–* SORRY, MY MISTAKE, UNREAL TOURNAMENT WASN’T MADE BY ID SOFTWARE, IT WAS MADE BY EPIC, INSTEAD I PUT DOOM AS EXAMPLE. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK AT ALLFORLINUX.COM (don’t forget to visit my blog, it’s in the bottom of the post and in the blogroll). BYE!!*–
Hey! this is great news! As many of us may know, id software (the company behind many great games, like quake, unreal tournament, etc.) has support for linux in most of it’s games (that’s not the case of wolfenstein since id software hasn’t even been touching the game). The point is that some time ago, there where rumors that said that id software was abandoning linux due to the involved work, cost, and lackluster Linux graphics drivers (according to John Carmack), it looks like we will end up seeing this next-generation game engine running with Linux.
